instructing: Spokesperson for: Goals: Jan has been an educator to children and adults her entire career which spans more than 25 years. After working in the Fitness Industry as a Group Fitness Leader, she felt her path needed to expand into reaching people with special needs or individual attention and so her path led her to a Certification in Personal Training. In 1990 she began studying Yoga and something magical happened. She felt a passion to get the word out on the wonderful things Yoga can do for anyone. So in 2000 she produced her own video “Dynamic Inner Strength” which was exactly how Yoga felt to her. In the years that followed she developed other programs such as “Yoga for Little Feet” which, along with Yoga poses, combines a little music, creative movement and tons of fun! Her love of both anatomy and alignment brought her attention to the teachings of John Friend and Anusara Yoga which she is currently studying. Jan is a 500 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher, and is apprenticing with Certified Anusara Yoga teachers. You can find her traveling many miles to study under John Friend, her true mentor. Jan has been featured on local television shows, and has been written up in many publications and presents her creative style of teaching on the road. When the weather is warm, you can find Jan and a group of friends practicing Yoga at Sunrise on the City Dock in Annapolis and outside in the Gazebo at Quiet Waters Park. Jan is certified in Sun Style Tai Chi and teaches locally through the Arthritis Foundation. Jan is constantly learning and re-focusing and at present she is concentrating on Yoga Therapy.
